The College of Food Engineering conducted research at Bei’an Huasheng Food Co., Ltd.

To advance the construction of student internship and employment bases, promote the integration of industry, academia, and research, and explore the establishment of a university-enterprise collaboration mechanism guided by industrial demands and supported by joint scientific research efforts, a delegation from the College of Food Engineering, led by Dean Zhang Yun and Party Branch Secretary Xu Shenghua, visited Bei’an Huasheng Food Co., Ltd. on April 20. Accompanied by corporate leaders, the delegation toured the company’s product exhibition hall, organic fresh corn production workshop, and chaga mushroom functional ingredient extraction production line. They also engaged in in-depth discussions with company representatives regarding the characteristics of specialty agricultural products such as organic fresh corn, organic vegetables, chaga mushrooms, and birch sap.

During the exchange meeting, Chairman Li Dongsheng systematically presented Huasheng Food’s strategic layout of “integrating agriculture, industry, and trade, and combining production, processing, and sales” through a corporate promotional video.Technical Director Nian Xiaodong gave a special explanation on the extraction of functional components from birch mushrooms and the comprehensive utilization of corn silk by-products, and proposed technical challenges and product development projects that the enterprise urgently needs to tackle. Dean Zhang Yun expressed that the research focus of the College of Food Engineering aligns closely with the industrial needs of Huasheng Food. She emphasized that the college will rely on its resources and talent advantages to form a team to meet the needs of enterprises. Additionally, both parties reached a consensus on matters such as training for corporate laboratory personnel and establishing student internship bases.
