The College of Food Engineering Visits Nala Dairy for Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration and Exchange

On April 16, Zhang Yun, Dean of The College of Food Engineering, and Wen Yan, a faculty member specializing in Dairy Engineering, visited Xinjiang Yili Nala Dairy Group Co., Ltd. They held in-depth discussions with General Manager Zhang Liru, R&D Director Huang Xinhong, and Scientific Research Project Lead Zhang Lianchao on topics such as industry-academia collaborative projects, joint graduate training, and expanding employment opportunities for recent graduates.

During the meeting, both parties officially launched the project titled "Innovation in Camel Milk Powder Processing Technology and Development and Promotion of High-Active Ingredient Products." A "Graduate Training Initiative" kick-off ceremony was also held. Additionally, academic exchanges were conducted on "Functional Basic Research of Novel Resource Foods with Northeast Characteristics" and "Construction of a Xinjiang Characteristic Probiotic Strain Library." Dean Zhang Yun stated that the college will fully leverage its research and talent advantages to collaborate with the company in tackling technical challenges and supporting the upgrade of Xinjiang's distinctive dairy industry.

This visit further strengthened the partnership between the College of Food Engineering and Xinjiang Nala Dairy, laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration in areas such as technological R&D, talent cultivation, and results transformation. Moving forward, the college will continue to focus on industrial needs, deepen collaborative innovation with enterprises, and contribute to local economic development and the advancement of the food industry.
