In order to thoroughly implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education's special action plan on "visiting enterprises to expand employment", and to further deepen university-enterprise cooperation while broadening student employment channels, a delegation of five from The College of Food Engineering, including Party Branch Secretary Xu Shenghua, Vice Dean Zhao Jing, and other faculty members, visited Yihai Kerry (Harbin) Grain, Oil and Food Co., Ltd. on July 25. The visit included a research tour and in-depth exchanges on talent cultivation, internship and employment opportunities, and scientific research collaboration.

The delegation was warmly received by Wang Kun, HR and Administration Manager, and Feng Luyuan, Public Affairs Director of Yihai Kerry (Harbin). They accompanied the group on a tour of the company’s production facilities. During the visit, Director Feng provided a detailed introduction to the company’s technological advantages and industrial layout, covering all aspects from raw material procurement and production processing to product sales, highlighting the company’s leading position in the industry.

During the discussion, Wang Kun introduced the company’s talent cooperation plan and emphasized its strong commitment to talent development and recruitment. He expressed the desire to enhance collaboration with the university starting from this year’s autumn recruitment cycle, and elaborated on the company’s recruitment standards and training mechanisms. Both sides engaged in thorough discussions regarding future university-enterprise cooperation and reached a consensus on collaboration.

This visit holds significant meaning—not only did it reopen the door to cooperation between the College of Food Engineering and Yihai Kerry (Harbin), but it also provided a solid foundation for the university to further optimize its talent cultivation model and enhance the quality of student employment. Looking ahead, this collaboration will undoubtedly foster mutual development and achieve win-win outcomes, contributing to the healthy growth of the food industry.
