Internship experience to be more skillful, team collaboration spirt to be more strong - Documentary of Teaching Activities for the Class of Feihe 2022 of the School of Food Engineering

Recently, Fifteen students from three majors—Food Science and Engineering, Food Quality and Safety, and Dairy Engineering were selected to join 2022 Feihe class after multiple rounds of screening by both the university and Feihe Dairy. The School of Food Engineering and Feihe Dairy both place high importance on talent development in this program including having designed a multidimensional curriculum plan of cutting-edge dairy technology, field internships, mentorship, instructor lectures to help students better understand coursework and success in the future professional career.  

 Starting from December 9th, students from Feihe Class will begin a two-week internship at Feihe Dairy Harbin Intelligence Industrial Park. Students personally enter the production workshops, packaging workshops, laboratories, and pilot workshops to learn frontline skills such as milk powder production technology and product inspection on site; At the same time, Feihe Dairy Company also provideddetailed training on the safety, company culture, hygiene management, and process operations, which helped students to gain a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of production frontline work of the Feihe Dairy company.


 On December 20th, in order to improve students' professional ethics and strengthenteam members’collaboration, Feihe Class conducted a team-construciton activity.  ShenghuaXu, Secretary of the Party General Branch and Vice Dean of the School of Food Engineering, JikunZhang, the Human Resources Manager of Feihe Dairy Production Division, and Wang Yuxi, the Human Resource Specialist, as well asHuan Gao , HaoyuanGeng , and MengaiWang , whowere from the Department of Food Science and Engineering. Counselors TongtongJie and Xu Wang also participated in the team-construction activity, chaired byJunshanZhang, Deputy Director of the Department of Food Science and Engineering. In his speech, JikunZhangencouraged the students to support each other, show team spirit, enhance the cohesion and centripetal force of Feihe Dairy, and stated that Feihe Dairy will continue to provide high-quality learning resources to help students grow. During the event, the students and teachers from the Feihe class were grouped into the Star Flying Sail Team 1 and the Crane Exhibition Team 2, and competed in four stages: ICEBREAK (Ice Breaking), Red Black Double Decoding, Pearl Journey Miles, and Drumming and Ball Beating. The activity is based on the concept of "class unity", which inspires students' vitality, enhances team members' trust, collaboration, and communication skills, and strengthens team relationships.


 After the event, Secretary Shenghua Xu fully affirmed the active participation and mutual support , highly praised theircollaborative spirit while facing challenges, and encouraged the students of Feihe Class to continue to maintain vitality, study hard, practice boldly, and make more comprehensive achievement.


 Looking ahead to the future, Feihe Dairy Modern Industry College will continuously innovate learning formats, explore new learning platforms and carriers, assist in the cultivation of applied talents, promote the sustainable and healthy development of the Feihe industry college, and make greater contributions to the revitalization and industrial development of Heilongjiang.
