Zhong Chu, a graduate in 2005, majored in Food Science and Engineering
Zhong Chu, Deputy-director, Researcher and Master’s Supervisor of the Spice and Beverage Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences
He graduatedin 2005 and later pursued a master’s degree in Food Science and Engineering at Northeast Forestry University.
In 2008, he started working at the Spice and Beverage Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences. He was mainly engaged in the hierarchical high-value processing of tropical characteristic crops and the research and development of new products. He also concurrently served as the person in charge of platforms such as the National Tropical Crop Engineering Technology Research Center and the National High-tech Enterprise. He presided over more than 10 projects at the provincial-ministerial level and above, including the National Key Research and Development Program. He received 5 scientific and technological achievement awards at the provincial-ministerial level and above. He was granted 18 authorized invention patents and formulated more than 30 standards/technical regulations (including 3 national standards). He cultivated 16 postgraduate students. He was honored with titles such as a leading-talent in Hainan Province, a delegate to the 8th Party Congress of Hainan Province, and an innovative craftsman-type talent in Hainan Province.
Yongfeng Duan , a graduate in 2005，majored in Food Science and Engineering.
Yongfeng Duan joined Charoen Pokphand Group in 2005, and is currently the deputy general manager of Beijing Dafa Charoen Pokphand Co., LTD., a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Group.
When first entering the college, he felt so excited and uncertain. The excitement is that he began his beautiful college journey, while uncertain whether the education of the East University of Heilongjiang meets his needs. However, he soon understoodits educational philosophy. Even the college is not the top one college, it has world-class faculty and the harmonious environment where mentors and peers collaborate, combined with its mission to cultivate high-level applied talents through society-needed programs. He felt so lucky to get the opportunity to study and live in such a beautiful campus for 4 years. Thecollege not only teaches students theknowledge but also taught how to be a good person and citizen. All those college experiences had laid a solid foundation for his future professional career. Finally he would like to say that he loves East University of Heilongjiang forever and heis profoundly grateful to study there. Moving forward, as an Eastern University alumnus, he will work hard to repay those who had cared for him. Bangshu Gu, a 1998 graduate, majored in Dairy Engineering
Bangshu Gu is currently employed by Dingda Animal Co., Ltd., Hailin City. He is a chairman.
In 1998, there was a shortage of talent in the national dairy market, and there was a high demand for graduates majored in Dairy Engineering. After graduation, Bangshu Gu came to a small enterprise - Shandong Longfeng Group. Initially working as a worker in the production workshop and later assigned to the dock loading and unloading team to transport goods. After a three-month internship, Bangshu Gu was transferred to the new product development department to be responsible for the project development of spirulina bean powder and instant bean powder. In April 1999, he became the agent of the sales department in Guangxi, Guangdong, and Fujian provinces, with an average annual sales of 1200 tons of soybean flour, exceeding the company's expectation of 400 tons. At the end of 1999, Bangshu Gu decided to start his own business and after more than half a year of preparation, the company began to production in November 2000. On the first day of the Chinese New Year in 2001, Bangshu Gu left to explore the market alone. Hard work pays off. His company earned a net profit of 800000 yuan back then. In 2002, Gu Bangshu collaborated with his brother on soybean deep processing. At the end of 2003, he spent 900000 yuan to purchase 50 cows and started his own cattle farm. Subsequently, he collaborated with Wandashan Dairy Company to engage in joint production, and now his personal assets reached over 20 million yuan.
Lin Song, a 2005 graduate, majored in Dairy Engineering
Lin Song currently serves as the Vice President and Director of the General Engineering Office
of Hebei Yanda Engineering Design Co., Ltd. During the four years in East University of Heilongjiang, he experienced a good learning atmosphere with new educational philosophy.There were a new president just on board , prestigious professors, respected teachers, and classmates with nice friendships. He said that he enjoyed the meticulous care of the seniors, felt the earnest teachings of his teachers, and learned the skills and knowledge , which made him ready to stepped into society. The education of East University of Heilongjiang pays great attention not only to the professional theoretical knowledge but also to the hands-on practical skill development, which makes the students to be so competitive. Along the way, He gained a lot and had unforgettable experience of his life. It has been ten years since his graduation, he wish all his classmates can find their own life in this colorful world. He also believe all of them will go better and further in the future.
Xianyin Xu, a 2009 graduate, majored in Dairy Engineering
XianyinXu is currently themanager of Feihe (Baiquan) Dairy Co., LTD. After graduation, he received his master's degree in Food Science and Engineering from Northeast Agricultural University in 2014.
After graduating, Xianyin Xu joined Feihe (Gannan) Dairy Co., Ltd. in 2013, starting as a junior staff member and gradually rise to team leader. During his tenure as supervisor of the packaging workshop and flour milling workshop, he accumulated a lot of management experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities. In 2018, he was appointed as Deputy Director of the Production Department at Feihe (TaiLai) Dairy Co., Ltd., later promoted to Director responsible for production process innovation and optimization. In 2021, he obtained the Yellow Belt Internal Trainer certification, reaching new heights in his professional field. In 2023, he served as Manager Assistant at Feihe (Gannan) Dairy Co., Ltd., and in 2024 moved to Feihe (Baiquan) Dairy Co., Ltd., where he currently serves as branch manager, continuously showing his professional expertise and management skills.
Xin Zhang, a 2005 graduate, majored in Food Science and Engineering
Xin Zhang is a graduate in Food Science and Engineering of East University of Heilongjiang. She obtained a Master's degree in Agricultural Product Storage and Processing from Northeast Agricultural University in 2008. In the same year, She was admitted to the doctoral program in Food Science at Jiangnan University. In 2010, She was selected by the China Scholarship Council as a joint doctoral student to study in the University of Kentucky in the United States.
She said that during her studies at East University of Heilongjiang, she deeply realized the student-centered educational philosophy. As a student, she feel very fortunate to be able to spend
her beautiful four-year life in such a positive and harmonious campus. The campus life has changed her destiny.The spirit of the East always inspires and motivates her. She feels so proud and honored to be part of East University of Heilongjiang.
Yongsun Du, a 2002 graduate, majored in Dairy Technology
Yongsun Du currently works at COFCO Coca Cola Beverages (Jinan) Co., Ltd. as the deputy general manager responsible for product quality management. During his schooling, he received multiple types of scholarships, outstanding student leader. After graduation, he successively was employed at Jilin Jiuniu Dairy Co., Ltd. and Harbin Pepsi Cola Beverage Co., Ltd., serving as QA director, quality control person, quality manager, and other positions. He has been worked in food quality management field for more than 12 years and has accumulated rich experience.
The faculty and staff of East University of Heilongjiang set a good life example of “nurturing righteousness through education”, and the college education equipped him with professional knowledge and practical skills to the future career. He will continue to work harder, and likes to express his sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all the teachers, classmates, friends who helped him and cared for him. Ruixue Wang, a 2020 graduate majored in Food Quality and Safety
Wang Ruixue is currently employed as a Raw Material Quality Analysis staff at Shanghai Medixi Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. After graduation, she continued to pursue a master's degree in Food Engineering still at East University of Heilongjiang. During the study, she published two core journals as Peking University specified. After obtaining the Master Degree, she joined Shanghai Medixi Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd as a Raw Material QA staff. She effectively expedited the application process of multiple new drug products and participated in 6 important raw material quality research projects. The IND applications have been successfully completed for the two projects as follows:
1.GLP-1 receptor agonist (completed in China and the United States in 2023).
2. Anti gout Class I new drug (completed in China in 2024).
